		TAMMIE... Tammie has been at the Head Shoppe for 20 years. She graduated from Torrington Beauty Academy. She has maintained her artistic styling edge by attending yearly classes at the Orlando Hair Show, as well as educational courses at Brio Academy. Well-known in the beauty industry, Tammie also has done make-up and hair for model photo shoots. She has experience in hair-extensions, multi-dimensional foils, cuts and styles, perm/texture waves and colors. She is always in demand during Prom season and is always booked ahead for her cutting edge formal styles. On her off time Tammie can usually be found gardening and landscaping her yard, another artful pursuit.


		DENA... Dena has been with the Head Shoppe since 1989. Her reputation as a top stylist precedes her, and she is well-respected among her peers. Dena specializes in precision cuts and styles, multi-dimensional foils and colors. She has an extremely high confidence level and her expertise shines through in the finished product—a beautiful style for her client. When not at the salon, Dena spends time at home with her two little boys and husband.

		JENNIFER... An “Artist” is a true description for Jenn. She started her styling career at Head Shoppe in 1998. She is a graduate of Torrington Beauty Academy. Jenn’s clients will tell you that along with getting the "best haircut ever”, Jenn communicates with her clientele. From the minute they sit in her chair, the client and their hair is her focus. Jennifer has been featured on Channel 8 WTNH, displaying her talent for formal styles. She is a gifted stylist who has a passion for color, multi-dimensional foils and the latest cuts. Jenn has been married since 1999, and has three children. They all support her love for “Hair”.

		SHELLEY... Shelley is our master of all trades. She is a fine nail technician as well as a formidable stylist. Shelley provides her clients with great cuts, dimensional highlights, colors, and chemical hair relaxing. Her knowledge of hair health is astounding and she can provide solutions to many of the hair problems presented to her. Shelley is also certified in providing hair extensions. She has attended classes in Orlando, New York and Connecticut. Shelley’s career started in 1990 and she has become an integral part of the Head Shoppe.

		JIM... Jim is a graduate of the Torrington Beauty Academy. He and his wife, Sharon have owned and operated the Head Shoppe for the past 38 years. Jim specializes in cuts and styles for both men and women. He has a vast knowledge of color application and processing. He attended the Matrix Business guide Forum for Salons in Chicago this past August. He works to improve our stylists' knowledge by scheduling classes and has rapidly improved the Head Shoppe's offerings.

		ERIN... She has been a stylist for 7 years, after graduating from the Torrington Beauty Academy. During that time she had been honing her hairdressing skills. In addition to perfecting her men's and women's cuts, she has attended classes in dimensional foils, color blocking, and color management. She is also a fine Formal Style technician... performing updos, and the latest styles sought after by our clientele. When Erin is not at the salon being creative, she enjoys her hobby of rock climbing with her boyfriend Dan, and attends college at NWCC.

		SHARON... Life is awesome and I am so happy and excited to be back at the Head Shoppe. Working again with the staff and friends, as well as Jim, is very exciting. I am pleased to be among such talented stylists and nail technicians. All the conveniences of home, and this is yours and mine! I have returned from the Hair Loft in Avon; having worked with my daughter Jamie for ten years. I was quite fortunate to be involved in Fashion Stylings, Colors, and the many exciting Society Weddings, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, Communions, Proms, and Evening Events. Working with the stylists on the Fox 61 Wedding was fun and educational; thanks to Jamie, Cheryl, Emily, and Maura.

		ERIKA... Erika is a welcome addition to the staff of the Head Shoppe. She is a highly trained stylist, and has been in the beauty industry for 7 years. A graduate of Torrington Beauty Academy, Erika has been diligently attending classes to increase her knowledge of color and highlights. When not at the salon she is actively involved in the raising of her 7 year old son, Stephen.

		LISA... Lisa has been a receptionist at the Head Shoppe for 5 years. When she applied for the position, children in tow, she had just moved to the New Hartford area. While working at our salon, she has enjoyed making new friends both among the staff and our clientele. Lisa will welcome you into our salon, assist you in special orders of products, and make future appointments. She is very creative and organized and uses both these talents at the salon and while at home with her husband and two bright and energetic children.

		EVELYN... As a receptionist, Evelyn maintains not only the front desk activities, but keeps alert as to the stylists needs. She is up-to-date on salon product knowledge, and can help suggest the right product for the right results. She knows most the salon's clientele on a "first name" basis, and tries to create a welcoming, warm atmosphere while they are within the confines of the Head Shoppe. Evelyn and her husband, Mark are enjoying their new "empty nest" lifestyle, and actively maintain their antique home, which was built in 1769.

		LAURIE... Laurie has been a nail technician for 26 years. She is adept at manicures, full sets, pink and whites and backfills. By using Entity nail products, she is able to complete a totally professional, youthful appearance for her clients' hands and nails. Laurie has been certified in several areas of the nail industry. She is a perfectionist; her acrylics and/or pink and white creations will withstand the microscope and hold up under the most stressful conditions. Her repeat clientele is a testimony to her high work ethic and their satisfaction. When not at the salon, Laurie spends time with her husband and three children.
